What is CIN?

Article 13-ter of the Legislative Decree 145/2023 (converted into Law 191/2023) introduced the obligation for tourist accommodation facilities intended for short-term rentals to obtain and display a national identification code.

The CIN is the identification code assigned to each tourist accommodation facility and to each property intended for short-term rental or tourist purposes for the promotion and advertising of the hospitality offer. The owners of these structures are obliged to display the CIN outside the building and to indicate it in every advertisement, regardless of the publication or communication channel chosen.

The legislation requires operators of platforms such as Homestay.com to collect and display the CIN number of your accommodation facility or property intended for short-term rentals, in order to continue receiving short-term stays at your accommodation.
